J5 Feeds Back
Southern California hip-hop crew Jurassic 5 has a new album coming out this July and will tour for two full months in support of it.
The trek will begin in Seattle July 18, a week before Feedback, the group’s first album in four years, hits stores.
Chali 2Na, Mark 7even, Akil, Zaakir and DJ Nu-Mark will make their way across the country, doing double gigs at The Fillmore in San Francisco and House of Blues in West Hollywood. The itinerary runs through September 13, with Las Vegas pinned as the last stop.
Feedback, Jurassic 5’s fourth full-length effort, follows 2002’s Power In Numbers and is the act’s first without DJ Cut Chemist, who left last year to focus on his solo career.
Last summer, the group did a number of shows with the Dave Matthews Band, with whom they also toured on the Vote For Change tour the previous fall.
