Toyota Becomes Fiery Home

Anschutz Entertainment Group and Toyota have announced a 10-year naming rights deal for the new home of Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire. The multipurpose sports and entertainment venue in Bridgeview, Ill., will be known as Toyota Park.

The AEG-operated, city-owned venue will hold 20,000 for sporting events and 28,000 for concerts. Terms of the naming deal were not disclosed.

Its first concert, the Pepsi B96 SummerBash featuring 40 acts including Bow Wow, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Pink, and Sean Paul, will take place during grand opening weekend June 24-25.

“We will attract the biggest and best names in the touring industry,” Village of Bridgeview Mayor Steven Landek said after thanking Toyota for its support.
