The shows run from July 5-15, with 11 dates booked in addition to a Lollapalooza appearance August 4.

The band will concentrate on the Midwest and East Coast, starting in Urbana, Ill., at the Canopy Club. Two shows are booked for New York City – one at the Mercury Lounge and one at the Bowery Ballroom – and the tour will wrap at home in Omaha at the Sokol Auditorium.

Make Believe and La Salle will open at the July shows.

Cursive’s new album, Happy Hollow, is set for an August 22 release and the group is promising a full U.S. tour in September. The band’s last studio album, The Ugly Organ, was released in 2003.

Cursive hasn’t toured since 2004, when the band headlined a string of spring dates and appeared on The Cure‘s Curiosa traveling festival.
