Aerosmith / Crüe
The Route Of All Evil Tour gets underway September 14 in Holmdel, N.J. and lasts through November 24 in West Palm Beach, Fla. With each band featuring all the original members, this marks the first time the two notorious groups have toured together.
The first few dates – Camden, N.J.; Boston; Washington, D.C.; Tinley Park, Ill; East Troy, Wis; and Detroit – go on sale June 24. Two more shows (Holmdel, N.J. and Jones Beach, N.Y.) go up June 26. Other on-sale information is TBA.
For the tour, Aerosmith will thrust itself into the middle of the audience, turning the seats along the 70-foot-long ramp into one big front row experience that will enable fans to get up close and personal with the band. The announcement means Steven Tyler has recovered from the throat condition that forced Aerosmith to cut short its Rockin’ The Joint tour earlier this year. The band was on the road from October through February.
The Crüe recently wrapped a two-month North American trek that included a dozen Canadian dates. The group spent much of last year on the Carnival Of Sin tour after releasing its reunion album, Red, White & Crüe.
