The Who will allow their whole live set to be broadcast as a pay-per-view download benefiting various charities supported by Pete Townshend‘s Double O charity, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, the Michael J. Fox Foundation (Parkinson’s Research), the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation (for underprivileged children) and the Robin Hood Foundation (funding poverty-fighting organizations in New York City).

For 99 cents, viewers will be able to download the entire set from www.thewholive.tv/. The band has been making available three tracks from other tour stops.

Hard Rock Café, which is promoting the Hyde Park concert, will broadcast the live link at its restaurants in New York; Chicago; Orlando; Hollywood, Fla.; Hollywood, Calif.; Rome; Barcelo; and Paris.

“It is hoped that this world Who tour will generate an extraordinary seven- or even eight-figure sum for charitable organizations, and that Who fans everywhere can feel rightly proud that they are the principle benefactors in this circle of good will,” Townshend said.
