The Silver Lining drops July 11, and the group will celebrate with a concert at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, Calif. More concerts are scheduled in the Midwest, including the radio festival in Bonner Springs, Kan., July 29.

The band is booked along the East Coast for the first week of August, with scattered dates over the next several weeks. More shows are expected to be announced soon.

Many songs on The Silver Lining feature the final recordings of original Soul Asylum bassist Karl Mueller, who died in June 2005 after a battle with throat cancer.

Former Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson and veteran Minneapolis drummer Michael Bland rounded out the lineup for the album, which follows 1998’s Candy From A Stranger.
