An Icy July
Icy Demons, a relatively new project featuring members of Man Man and Need New Body, is making its way across the Midwest and East Coast this July.
The group will launch the club tour in Chicago at the Empty Bottle July 8, with a dozen more dates planned over the next two weeks. The trek is to finish in Philadelphia July 21 at The Pageant Gallery.
Icy Demons is led by bassist/producer Griffin Rodriquez, a veteran of Bablicon and Need New Body, and Man Man drummer Chris Powell. The group started as an improvisational project and has evolved into a five-piece maelstrom of spastic electro-jazz.
The band’s sophomore album, Tears Of A Clone, is set for release September 12 on Eastern Developments, the label run by Guillermo Scott Herren, a.k.a. Prefuse 73.
