Austin Marched Out Of Dubai

Atlanta-based music and film producer Dallas Austin was released from a Dubai jail July 5th.

After pleading guilty and being convicted of cocaine possession, Austin was ordered deported and flown out of the country after Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum pardoned him, sparing the producer a possible four years in a United Arab Emirates prison.

Austin, a Grammy winner who has crafted songs for TLC, Madonna, and Janet Jackson, languished behind bars since his May 19th arrest at the Dubai airport on suspicion of possessing 1.26 grams of the drug.

Austin was in the Middle Eastern emirate to attend a birthday bash for supermodel Naomi Campbell.
