The group released its third studio album, The Obliterati, in May on Matador Records. The disc follows 2004’s ONoffON, which was the band’s first set of new material in more than two decades.

Mission Of Burma will launch its first round of summer touring July 13 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club / Lounge. The group has tour dates booked through the end of the month throughout the East Coast and Midwest.

A West Coast leg will follow in September, with seven dates confirmed through Washington, Oregon and California. 50 Foot Wave – fronted by Throwing Muses‘ Kristin Hersh – will open on the trek, which runs from September 15-23.

The upcoming dates are the most extensive for Mission Of Burma since 2004, when the group toured North America and Europe in support of ONoffON.
