Original Commodore Dies
Milan B. Williams, one of the original members of The Commodores, died July 9th in Houston after a long battle with cancer, according to a band rep.
Williams, 58, played keyboards in The Commodores, which formed while all the members were attending the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.
“He gave all that he could give to The Commodores,” band member Walter Orange said. “He’ll always be remembered.”
Williams wrote the band’s first hit, “Machine Gun.”
