After Adam Lee Miller and Nicola Kuperus play the TIM Motomix – TIM Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 16, they’ll prep for a month’s worth of U.S. club dates starting October 5 at the Mezzanine in San Francisco. The trek will wrap up October 20 at Detroit’s Magic Stick.

The jaunt will mark the one-year release of Adult.’s second full-length album, Gimmie Trouble. Prior to that album, the group toured in support of their six-track EP, D.U.M.E.

For the accompanying tour, Miller and Kuperus recruited longtime friend Samuel Consiglio to play guitar. The relationship eventually led to Consiglio contributing material on Gimmie Trouble.

“We were about to tour for the D.U.M.E. EP and needed a third set of hands to perform the new songs live,” a posting on Adult.’s Web site said. “Once the three of us started working together, an energy developed and we quickly started writing new material together.”

In January 2006, between a North American and European tour, Consiglio’s involvement in the group ended after the trio equally decided that Adult. was better off as a duo.

After the upcoming visit to San Francisco, the duo will head south to play Los Angeles and San Diego, before hitting cities including Denver, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Chicago.

Although they may not have an extensive list of full-length efforts, the group’s catalog is vast, with mountains of EPs, singles and remix work dating back to the mid-’90s.
