Pavarotti Recovering

Luciano Pavarotti recently underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer and is “recovering well,” according to his representative, Terri Robson.

Pavarotti was preparing to leave New York City to resume his farewell world concert tour in Britain when doctors discovered a malignant pancreatic mass, Robson said, and doctors were able to completely remove it.

All dates for 2006 have been canceled as a result of the treatment. He is expected to return to the stage in 2007.
