Diamond Head Sequels

Ron Gibson, the organizer behind this year’s Diamond Head crater concert featuring Steve Miller and Linda Ronstadt, says he’s received permits from the state of Hawaii for shows in 2007 and 2008. No performers have been announced.

“I would love to showcase cultural acts from Brazil, Japan and Europe for an international focus, but the main drive will be Hawaii and its people,” Gibson said.

This year’s Crater Concert drew a sellout 7,500 even though the fields were muddy after about 40 days of rain.

Gibson said next year’s concert may be held in May but a date hasn’t been set.
