McCready Acquitted

Mindy McCready was acquitted of DUI charges by a Nashville jury July 19th but found guilty on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

McCready was stopped for speeding in May 2005.

She has had a series of incidents since her No. 1 hit in 1996 with “Guys Do It All the Time.”

Two days after the DUI arrest, she was injured in a beating by her former boyfriend who was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail; McCready later gave birth to his child.

The country singer said she hopes the recent verdict is a turning point in her life but still faces a hearing on charges of violating her probation on a drug charge.
