Rain Douses Sonshine Festival

Opening day of the Sonshine Christian Music Festival in Willmar, Minn., July 13th was delayed when heavy rain and high winds knocked over sound and light towers at the main stage, canceling concerts by headliners Jeremy Camp and the Newsboys among others. No one was injured.

The fest, which is geared to teens ages 13-17, was back on the next day at the Willmar Civic Center. Repairs to main stage were completed in time for headliners Relient K and Third Day.

The annual event attracted about 15,000 concertgoers over three days to see artists including tobyMac, Audio Adrenaline, Hawk Nelson, Kutless, Barlow Girl, and Thousand Foot Krutch.
