Cheaper Movie Tickets?
Movie theatre chain AMC Entertainment announced it is adding earlier show times with cheaper ticket prices in a move to entice consumers back into its theatres.
“This goes back to wanting to provide a better value for our guests and make our movies more accessible to more people,” company spokeswoman Melanie Bell said.
The Kansas-based company will begin showing movies at its 321 theatres in U.S. and Canada before noon at $4 to $6 per ticket. Matinees currently run $5.50 to $8 from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 4 p.m. on weekends.
