The 26-member group hasn’t been on the road since February 2005, but Tim DeLaughter and friends have been hard at work in the studio prepping their third full-length release.

The disc, titled The Fragile Army, won’t hit stores until 2007, but the band will be performing most of the album’s songs on the upcoming tour.

The Polyphonic Spree will support Matisyahu September 3-9 in Colorado, Washington, Oregon and California, followed by three headlining dates in Texas and Los Angeles.

Philip E. Karnats will open on all three of the Spree’s headlining dates, with Pilotdrift also on the bill in Dallas and Austin.
