Love frontman Arthur Lee, 61, died from leukemia in a Memphis hospital August 3rd.
Love is considered one of the most influential groups of the ‘60s. In fact, some claim the hippie movement started when the multiracial Love began playing a regular rotation at famed Los Angeles nightclub
Lee tried to reform the band with new musicians in the 1980s with little success.
He was jailed in 1996 for illegal possession of a firearm after threatening a neighbor and released in 2001. He formed Love with Arthur Lee at that time and toured, this time with success.
