Shift For Toledo Shed
Toledo City Council members are looking into conducting feasibility studies for an amphitheatre in the Ohio city’s Marina District.
To fund the studies, council members were asked August 1st to consider shifting money from a plan to expand Promenade Park, according to the Toledo Blade.
The news concerned some council members who said they decided in 2005 to move forward with the idea to build a covered amphitheatre at the park, the paper said.
The council was briefed August 1st about the desire to re-appropriate more than $150,000 from Madison Avenue and Promenade Park funds for the Marina District shed, the paper said.
Included would be the cost of a feasibility study to determine if and where an amphitheatre should be built in the Marina District, Councilman Mike Craig said.
