TPAC Ends Contract With LN

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center will end its longtime relationship with Live Nation after their contract expires next June.

The venue will manage booking, marketing and programming for its Broadway shows in-house, officials told the Tennessean.

The split, described as amicable by officials for both companies, will end a 24-year partnership that began with Pace Concerts shortly after the venue opened.

“[Live Nation] had some expertise that was very vital to TPAC,” venue president/CEO Kathleen O’Brien told the paper. “They really helped build the road business of touring Broadway.”

TPAC encompasses a 2,472-capacity hall, 1,661-seat auditorium and two theatres. Upcoming productions include “On Golden Pond” and “Disney’s The Lion King.”
