Firming Up

The Firm has a working title for its record label, which will be called – wait for it – Firm Music.

Firm management clients Mandy Moore and Army Of Anyone (comprising members of Stone Temple Pilots and Filter) are the first two signings.

Firm CEO Jeff Kwatinetz developed the concept where management will act as A&R and split profits with the artist.

A major record label finances the project and acts as distributor. If the label takes shape, industry observers say it will be a significant shift in the traditional paradigm, especially if some of The Firm’s high-profile music clients gravitate toward the model.
