More Than They Bargained For

The Pussycat Dolls played to a sold-out arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, July 26th and organizers paid a price for it.

Absolute Entertainment was fined US$2,714 for breaching Section 11 of the Selangor Entertainment and Entertainment Outlets Enactment of 1995.

“The Pussycat Dolls reportedly put on a show which not only featured scantily dressed performers but also included sensuous elements,” Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Rais Yatim said, adding that the group took Malaysia “for a ride” with its alleged indecency.

Officials said foreign artists will have to follow strict guidelines from now on.
