Metro Money Missing
Jonathan Gould, who ran the Sydney Metro Theatre in Australia and allegedly failed to pay artists and promoters an alleged $1 million in fees, was previously jailed twice for fraud.
The Daily Telegraph reported U.K.-born Gould was sentenced to three years jail in August of 1983 after he fraudulently bought the Dominion Insurance Company and stripped its assets.
He was released on parole a year later, but was convicted of fraud again in 1994 and served three months in periodic detention.
This news came as a surprise to the Metro’s voluntary administrator, who is trying to find the missing money.
