A New Industry Paradigm

Paradigm has acquired prestigious boutique agency Little Big Man Booking, marking the company’s fourth such deal in two years including that of Monterey Peninsula Artists in 2004, president and CEO Sam Gores announced.

Little Big Man founder Marty Diamond will stay on to oversee Paradigm’s New York music operations, with VP Larry Webman. The rest of the LBM staff will remain with Diamond and Webman in their current positions under the Little Big Man / Paradigm banner effective September 1st.

Among LBM’s client roster are diverse acts including Coldplay, Gorillaz, Blue Man Group, Arctic Monkeys, Avril Lavigne, P.O.D., Franz Ferdinand, KT Tunstall, Sarah McLachlan, The Fray, Scissor Sisters, and Pharrell Williams.

“Little Big Man is known throughout the industry for cultivating and developing long term quality talent relationships,” said MPA/Paradigm’s Chip Hooper. “Marty’s leadership in New York and our shared principals will allow us to jointly tap resources while continuing to elevate our clients.”

The addition of Little Big Man to Paradigm’s existing clients, and stable of agents, makes the agency a rapidly rising player in the music world.

“After seeing Paradigm develop profitable synergistic results for artists such as the Black Eyed Peas and Wyclef Jean, we knew it was the right home for us to achieve similar success,” Diamond said of the acquisition.

“Like our friends at Monterey, we share Paradigm’s philosophy of putting the artist’s interests first. And like Paradigm, our focus is that of being in the client business and not simply the agency business.”
