The Knack drummer Bruce Gary, 54, died of cancer August 22nd.
Gary recorded with artists such as Sheryl Crow, George Harrison, Stephen Stills, and Bob Dylan, to name a few, in addition to his solo work. He also worked behind the boards and co-produced a series of Jimi Hendrix releases.
“On behalf of The Knack, we are shocked and saddened by Bruce’s death. He was an integral part of our sound, not to mention a great drummer,” the band members said in a statement.
Gary recorded recently with Jack Bruce and Andy Summers, and produced and performed on a track for a John Lee Hooker tribute.
