The 27-city tour begins November 2 in Reading, Pa., and wraps up December 17 in Anaheim at the House of Blues.

Seventeen years after The Cars’ last tour, two members from the old days – guitarist Easton and keyboard player Greg Hawkes – launched The New Cars with vocalist/guitarist Todd Rundgren and regular Rudgren collaborators bassist Kasim Sulton and drummer Prairie Prince.

The spring tour was cut short when Easton was hurt in the bus accident.

Eager to get back on the road, Easton was determined to heal. “I waited 17 years for this tour, and I’m excited to get back out there to entertain our devoted fans,” he said.

Earlier this year the group released a live album, The New Cars: It’s Alive, with three new studio recordings by the new lineup.
