Former Idol Skips Court

Former “American Idol” contestant Corey Clark failed to appear in court following a July 24th arrest. A warrant for his arrest is expected to be issued soon, Yuma County, Ariz., sheriff’s Major Leon Wilmot said.

Clark was summoned to court September 12th for violating a restraining order and trespassing at the home of his wife’s parents.

Clark’s wife, Monica Rodriguez Gonzalez, reportedly claimed he had abused her and she filed the restraining order in June, prohibiting him from having contact with her, their child and seven others.

Clark was disqualified from “American Idol” after reaching the finals of the show’s second season in 2003 for failing to reveal a previous arrest.

He later claimed he had an affair with “Idol” judge Paula Abdul. Fox’s investigation on the matter came up empty.
