Sentencing In Mark Cohn Case

The man who shot and wounded songwriter Mark Cohn during a failed carjacking in Denver last year was sentenced to 36 years in prison October 4th.

Joseph Yacteen pleaded guilty in July to attempted first-degree murder.

Cohn and driver/tour manager Thomas Dube were injured when Yacteen fired a gun into a parked van containing Cohn and his band members.

Both men were treated at a nearby hospital and released.

Police captured Yacteen after he was found hiding in an abandoned house.

Cohn won a Grammy for the song “Walking In Memphis.”
