California Senator Back To WMA

California State Sen. Kevin Murray will see his term end November 30th, and he’s going back to work at the William Morris Agency.

Murray was an agent at WMA throughout the ’80s, booking Aretha Franklin among others.

Murry has maintained relationships within the music business while he was a senator and now that he is leaving due to term limits, the move to WMA seemed like a “perfect fit,” he told Pollstar.

He will join the agency January 1st, working primarily in the company’s corporate consulting division at the Beverly Hills office.

Murray has served 12 years in the California Legislature.

He is a member of the Democratic National Committee and California Democratic Party Executive Board.
