The politically charged rappers will storm up the West Coast for the first week and a half, then hit Colorado for three shows before heading to the Midwest and Canada.

They’ll play New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom with Matisyahu December 16, then hit Baltimore and Washington, D.C., before wrapping in Philadelphia.

The Coup will be back in Chicago two weeks later for a New Year’s Eve gig at Beat Kitchen.

Boots Riley, rapper/producer and frontman of The Coup, will be accompanied on tour by a live band comprising guitarist Steve Wyreman, bassist Riccol Johnson, drummer Q and vocalist Silk E.

DJ Pam The Funkstress will appear on select dates.

The Coup is supporting its recent Epitaph release, Pick A Bigger Weapon.

Mr. Lif is touring behind Mo’ Mega, released in June on Definitive Jux.
