Kylie To Shoot DVD

Kylie Minogue‘s current “Showgirl Homecoming” tour will be filmed for a DVD when it reaches her hometown of Melbourne early December.

A DVD was issued last year from the original “Showgirl” U.K. dates.

But the singer has changed her three-hour show around to include new songs, eight costumes from top designers, and a $10 million video and laser show that moves the show’s backdrops from nightclub to gym to sci-fi.

Minogue, who postponed her tour 18 months ago after being diagnosed with breast cancer, made a triumphant return before 10,000 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre November 11th.

“It was one of the most emotional nights, to see her back onstage,” said Frontier Touring head Michael Gudinski, who stood out front watching the show. “Her family is family to me, and to see her able to go back onstage and in control was a mixture of relief and pride. Deep down I knew she’d be back onstage.”

U2‘s Bono joined Minogue on her second Sydney show. The Irish supergroup, which played to 70,000 the night before, sent her flowers with a note, “We’ll be your support act any time” and added they were coming to the show.

After a hasty run-through in the dressing room, Minogue and Bono did a version of “Kids,” which she recorded with Robbie Williams.
