AEG’s Mall Of America PAC?

Officials at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., have announced a $1 billion expansion plan that includes a 6,000-capacity performing arts center partially funded by AEG.

Plans include a $40 million hotel, upgrades to the mall’s indoor amusement park including a roller coaster, a Bass Pro shop and a 13,000-square-foot Mexican restaurant, according to the Pioneer Press of St. Paul. Groundbreaking for Phase II would begin next summer, mall attorney Bill Griffith told the paper.

AEG would team with mall ownership group Triple Five to build the PAC.

AEG spokesman Michael Roth told Pollstar the company is in dialogues with mall ownership and is committed to entering into an agreement for a theatre.
