Concert Industry Awards Voting Begins

Congratulations to the nominees for the 18th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. Enclosed with this week’s issue is the official ballot. When your issue arrives in the mail, please take a few minutes to select your choices for the best in our industry.

No photocopies or faxes will be accepted.

This year’s nominees (click here for list) were selected by a diverse group of 150 professionals from around the world including many agents and tour managers with a broad perspective on the industry. Their identities will be announced at the Awards Party on Thursday, February 8th at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.

This year’s event is being hosted by Lisa Lampanelli, who among other things is credited with basting William Shatner like a turkey during his recent Comedy Central Roast. An awards party ticket is included with each CIC registration or can be purchased separately at www.PollstarOnline.com/CIC2007.

The award show’s format is being altered and this year will feature interesting (and eclectic) pairings of presenters who will give out multiple awards. Anyone with presenter suggestions should contact awards talent coordinator Kelli Richards at [email protected].
