The Puerto Rican native, born Elmer Figueroa-Arce, toured major North American venues last summer on a triple headliner with Marc Anthony and Alejandro Fernandez. This time, he’ll handle the arenas by himself, starting in Miami April 20 at AmericanAirlines Arena.

The tour focuses heavily on the Southwest and West Coast, with six dates apiece in California and Texas. He’ll also make stops through the East Coast and the South, and he’ll wrap in Chicago at UIC Pavilion June 22.

Prior to the U.S. visit, he’ll play four cities in Chile from January 27 to February 7.

Chayanne’s last solo headlining tour of the U.S. took place in spring 2004.

His latest album, Cautivo, earned three Latin Grammy nominations including album of the year.
