Gurus Head Back Stateside

The Hoodoo Gurus are heading for their first United States tour since 1994.

The tour, including a stop at South By Southwest in March, is being scheduled to coincide with the release of the group’s next album, to be released through San Francisco-based indie label Virtual Recordings.

In other Aussie news, power metal band Black Majesty was added to the 2007 Masters of Rock Czech Republic Open Air Festival set for July.

Sydney band The Sunpilots was awarded best international artist at the Toronto Music Awards.

Architecture In Helsinki was among global acts on Spanish label Houston Party’s tribute recreation of the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds.
