Regina In Europe
Regina Spektor‘s star continues to ascend with help from a spate of recent appearances on late night television and a November stint as VH1’s “You Oughta Know” artist. Now the quirky singer/songwriter, who tours almost constantly, is heading back to the U.K. and Europe in early 2007.
The nine-city run through the U.K. kicks off February 6 at Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton, and wraps March 10 with a show at Trinity Centre in Bristol. After that she’ll head to Germany for a pair of dates starting with Berlin’s Lido February 23. Then it’s onto the CafĂ© de la Danse in Paris February 28.
Spektor isn’t a houshold name yet but she may be one of the most widely heard artists working today.
Her music has been used in promotional campaigns for the U.K.’s Sky Television network, Microsoft’s Zune, MtvU and XM Satellite Radio. Her songs have also been featured prominently on a number of television shows including “CSI: NY,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Criminal Minds,” “Veronica Mars” and “Weeds.”
