Knievel Raps Kanye

Kanye West is being sued by daredevil Evel Knievel, who’s claiming infringement on his trademarked name and likeness. Knievel’s suit also names Roc-A-Fella Records, video director Chris Milk and AOL.

In the video, which debuted last February and features Pamela Anderson as West’s girlfriend, West recreates Knievel’s 1974 attempt to jump Idaho’s Snake River Canyon, taking on the persona of “Evel Kanyevel” and donning the familiar star-studded jumpsuit.

Knievel, whose real name is Robert Craig Knievel, once had a less than savory reputation and claims the suit is an attempt to protect a cleaned-up image he spent years cultivating. The suit alleges the video contains “vulgar and offensive sexual images, language and conduct.”

“The guy just went too far using me to promote his filth to the world,” said Knievel. “I’m not in any way that kind of a person.”
