Viva Los Lobos
Los Lobos has enjoyed a revival of sorts in 2006 following the release of the critically acclaimed song cycle, The Town and the City. The band plans to expand on the musical themes of the album when they hit the road early next year.
Los Lobos’ 16-city En Vivo Tour kicks off February 28 in La Jolla, Calif, and will wrap up March 17 in Dayton, Ohio.
The semi-acoustic tour will focus on the rich diversity of Latin music, which differs markedly from region to region, as well as country to country.
The band will treat audiences to classic Los Lobos tunes, songs from Town and Latin folkloric songs, all played on guitarones, jaranas, baja sextos and other traditional instruments.
