Thunderbirds Collapse
Brooklyn-based band Oxford Collapse has booked several weeks of North American dates with Detroit’s Thunderbirds Are Now!, starting January 25 in North Adams, Mass.
The two groups will cover the East Coast, Midwest and South, wrapping February 13 at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia.
Prior to launching the trek, Oxford Collapse will play a New Year’s Eve show at NYC’s Mercury Lounge and a January 13 one-off at Toad’s Place in New Haven, Conn.
Oxford Collapse released its debut album for Sub Pop, Remember The Night Parties, in October. The group also has two previous independent albums and several singels and EPs under its belt.
The band’s 2006 touring included stints with The Joggers and We Are Scientists.
Thunderbirds Are Now! is supporting its third album, Make History, which was also released in October. The disc is the band’s second for Frenchkiss Records.
