Not Quite So Heartless
Don’t let the name fool you, Cincinnati-based garage-rockers Heartless Bastards love their fans, so much so the band is gearing up to hit the road this month for another tour in support of its latest album.
The band’s 19-city winter tour kicks off January 11 at Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room in St. Louis and wraps up February 10 at the Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville, Ky.
Heartless Bastards was formed as a four piece in 2003 by frontwoman Erika Wennerstrom. After a lineup change that cut the roster down to a trio, the band scored a contract with Fat Possum Records when The Black Keys‘ Patrick Karney passed a demo tape Wennerstrom had given him on to label execs.
The Bastards’ latest album, All This Time, is the follow up to its critically acclaimed debut, Stairs and Elevators, and was recently named one of the 11 most overlooked albums of 2006 by National Public Radio.
