Joe Fletcher Moves To Africa

Joe Fletcher Presents is making moves – big ones. The promoter is switching coasts from New Hampshire to California, which is unusual enough, but the biggest leap is a continental one.

Fletcher, who booked the talent for a recent festival in Lagos, Nigeria, told Pollstar about his biggest move yet – launching an office in South Africa.

"I have been to South Africa on several visits and have partnered with a great team of concert promoters there who want to aggressively go after the growing opportunities for American bands to tour South Africa," he said. "We plan to do 20-30 concerts annually in South Africa. We will continue to work in Nigeria and other parts of Africa as well."

The South African partners will man the overseas office, and Fletcher plans to travel between California and the East Coast, where Rick Bishop will oversee operations of the Northeast division.
