Rock Hall Inductees

A diverse group comprising Van Halen, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, R.E.M., The Ronettes, and Patti Smith will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during a March 12th ceremony at NYC’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

Also nominated were funk band Chic, led by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, The Dave Clark Five, The Stooges, and Joe Tex.

The rock hall will also honor the late Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder of Atlantic Records, who played a prominent role in the careers of artists such as The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, and Aretha Franklin.
