Joker Adds Diesel

Pittsburgh’s Joker Productions has taken over booking duties at the 650-capacity Diesel, which reopened last June at the location of Nick’s Fat City.

"New ownership purchased [Nick’s] and changed the name, décor, sound and lighting system. It’s a beautiful room," talent buyer Jon Rinaldo told Pollstar. "I’m excited about getting back into doing larger shows again. The one good thing is I won’t lose some of my artists that become larger – KT Tunstall is a prime example of that."

Rinaldo will continue booking the 150-capacity Club Café.

"Now I have an opportunity to book them in a larger club and compete with the other two clubs in the market," he said.

Cute Is What We Aim For is scheduled to perform at Diesel February 20th. Rinaldo anticipates 6 to 10 concerts a month.
