The six dates will launch his Flip Flop Summer 2007 Tour, and this big shows sport quite a lineup: Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, Sara Evans and Pat Green will join Chesney starting June 9 at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field.

“There’s nothing like it,” said the headlining star. “You know, getting all those people together for a little party… they start tail-gating, cooking out early, and then we rock straight through the night. Anyone who’s ever been knows it’s a helluva good time.”

The same line-up will play Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on June 23, Seattle’s Qwest Field on July 7, Cleveland’s Browns Stadium on July 14, Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium on July 28, and Detroit’s Ford Field on August 18.

The on-sale date is set for February 10 – with the exception of Philadelphia (March 3) and Seattle hitting one month later on March 10.

“We’ve got a few surprises, some new tricks, a few different songs – and we’re gonna be making it the summer of our lives,” Chesney said. “Hopefully, the fans’ll be out there raising hell and having a good time with us… because we believe, and we always have, the more the merrier with shows like this.”

There’s little doubt the fans will show up; Chesney’s 2006 tour ranked No. 5 on Pollstar’s Top 100 Tours in ticket sales for the year, moving 1,118,281 tickets. The tour was the 7th biggest money maker of ’06, raking in $66 million.
