Live Nation Grabs Dodge

Mid-size venues are where it’s at these days, and Live Nation has landed a jewel in its expansion into this market – Phoenix’s Dodge Theatre.

Live Nation has entered into a long-term agreement to operate, manage and book the venue located near the U.S. Airways Center. Danny Zelisko and Terry Burke at Live Nation Phoenix will book the theatre, which can expand from 1,900 to 5,500 capacity. In 2005, the theatre hosted the Arizona Music Entertainment Hall of Fame ceremony, where Zelisko was inducted.

Live Nation Global Venues CEO Bruce Eskowitz said in a statement that the Dodge fits perfectly with the company’s strategy to expand its mid-sized venue reach into the top 25 U.S. markets.

"We know what an exceptional venue the Dodge is because we’ve been booking top quality talent into the theatre since its opening," Eskowitz said.

The Dodge Theatre won the Pollstar Best New Major Concert Venue Award in 2003.
