Celine’s Vegas Gig To Close

Celine Dion’s big-bucks extravaganza, "A New Day," at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas will close December 15th after nearly five years.

The Grammy winner originally signed a three-year, $100 million contract in 2003 but later agreed to extend the run through 2007.

The final block of tickets for performances from August through December is scheduled to go on sale March 1st.

It’s not known yet if a long-term resident will take her place, although Elton John, Gloria Estefan, Jerry Seinfeld, Juan Gabriel and Alejandro Fernandez have successfully filled her vacation days.
