Shoreline Suit Can Go To Trial

A multimillion-dollar suit filed by the city of Mountain View, Calif., against an accounting firm that did audits and financial statements for Shoreline Amphitheatre will go to trial later this year.

The city alleges gross misconduct, including theft of public funds, by some of the firm’s accountants enabled Clear Channel Entertainment (now Live Nation) to hide millions of dollars in profit owed to Mountain View, which owns the Shoreline real estate.

The lawsuit against the accounting firm of Daoro, Zydel and Holland seeks millions of dollars in damages incurred over several years.

Live Nation paid the city $10 million last year to settle a separate lawsuit related to the accusations, according to the Palo Alto Daily News.
