Buckingham kicks things off March 7 at the Tampa Theatre in Tampa, Fla., and will hit 14 cities mostly in the South and Northeast including Mobile, Ala., Knoxville, Tenn., and Burlington, Vt., before dropping in to the House of Blues in Chicago April 9.

His web site promises more dates will be announced soon.

Skin, Buckingham’s first new solo work in more than 10 years, was released October 3 and has garnered considerable acclaim, even landing a spot on several Best of 2006 lists.

The album marks a departure of sorts for the eclectic Buckingham. Instead of the big, glossy production that fans of Buckingham’s Fleetwood Mac songs are used to hearing, the album is a much more intimate work that features severely stripped-down arrangements.
