Butch Walker Goes Out Tonite
Butch Walker has announced a US headlining spring tour. The monthlong string of dates, which kick off March 22 in Raleigh, N.C., will support his latest album, The Rise & Fall Of Butch Walker and the Lets Go Out Tonites.
The disc is the third solo effort from a guy who has been playing in front of audiences since he was 15. On this record the singer/songwriter/ guitarist/producer put together a band, The Let’s-Go-Out-Tonites, and took a cue from Ziggy Stardust-era Bowie to record an album steeped in glitter.
For the past two years, Walker has also been spending time on the other side of the microphone, producing, mixing and writing.
He produced the latest efforts from The Academy Is… and Hot Hot Heat, several songs including the title track, “Best Damn Thing”, on Avril Lavigne‘s upcoming album, and has lately spent time in the studio with the Von Bondies, Ben Lee and the Honorary Title, which opens on the upcoming tour.
