N. Korea Content Crackdown

According to the Yonhap news agency, the North Korean government has launched a campaign to crack down on music CDs and other pop culture software that’s been smuggled into the country.

The agency has quoted an unnamed South Korean official who said "the North Korean authorities have waged what they call ‘psychological warfare’ against ‘exotic lifestyles’" represented by South Korean culture.

CDs and videotapes usually enter North Korea through its fairly porous border with China.
